What Transcribble does with your data

Transcribble converts audio files you choose into text using Apple's on-device speech recognition, built into macOS. All processing happens locally on your Mac:

• Your audio files are read only to perform the transcription you requested, and only while the app is transcribing them.
• Transcripts exist only in the app window and, if you copy them, on your clipboard. The app does not save, index, or retain them.
• Nothing — audio, transcripts, filenames, or anything else — is ever transmitted off your Mac by Transcribble.

What we collect

Nothing. Transcribble has no analytics, no tracking, no crash reporting of its own, no accounts, and no server. We have no way of knowing you use the app at all.

Network access

The only network activity related to Transcribble is the one-time download of Apple's speech recognition model for your language. That download is performed by macOS directly from Apple, governed by Apple's privacy policy. After the model is installed, transcription works entirely offline.

App Store

If you download Transcribble from the Mac App Store, Apple may collect standard purchase and usage statistics under its own privacy policy. That data is Apple's, not ours; we receive at most anonymous, aggregated statistics.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. Given the app's design — no data collection of any kind — meaningful changes are unlikely.
